MANDY

My dog Mandy just passed away a few days ago. I have been here in New Jersey, so I didn’t get to say goodbye. I know how much I loved her as a child though. As I grew older, I seemed to get caught up in my world and so I didn’t spend as much time with her and I ignored her. She helped me through a lot though. She listened to me sing probably more than anyone, in my kitchen, while I practiced. She knew when I was sad and always seemed to lick my hand right then. She sensed when I was dating a bad guy because she had a comfort with some people, rather than others. She kept me active, wanting me to play tug o war with her mini rope and running around with her toys. She taught me to step outside more, even when I’d rather play inside, walking outside to take her for a walk reminded me of the beauty of nature. She also was my twin…the only one in my family who had my blonde hair and brown eyes. I will miss her and always know she added to my life in many ways. It is amazing how even a pet can add so much to one’s life.
