Choices

It is Saturday morning and I just woke up and am about to start this blog. I haven't written a blog in such a long time. I am always thinking of great ideas that I want to write down, but at the end of the day, sleep sucks me in first.


Lately, I have started thinking about choices. We make so many choices every day of our lives. I am choosing to write this blog before having my morning coffee. We choose who we want to spend time with, if we want to work out, what we want to eat, movies we want to watch etc.


It amazes me that we could choose a whole different set of choices that may really effect our lives differently.


Going to an all girls catholic school and being raised catholic has definitely made me make moral choices and feel the pang of guilt if I make a wrong one.


Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice with jobs I have chosen and what I went to college for, etc.


Recently, I found that all of my choices have come full circle. I realized how much of an asset I am to people, without even realizing it. Every job I have had, no matter how different has connected me to another one and another opportunity.


Last weekend I was an extra in a feature film called Future Folk. Dee Snyder was in it. I was really focused on set and also was able to network with many people. The patience that I had on set came from so many other areas of my life where I had to use extreme patience. I babysit many kids and find that as I babysit, I teach them acting and singing. I wouldn't have that power without my schooling, entertainment jobs, and teaching jobs.


Sometimes I think I stretch myself too thin, but other times I feel exhilarated by being able to do so many things with all the skills I have developed. I believe anything is possible and we have the power to choose.


Choose life, choose happiness, choose to expand your mind and never loose the sense of play like a child and your life will grow in beauty.
